Orange Weather Warning for Dublin: Risk of Flooding
Met Éireann has issued an Orange Weather Warning for Dublin. Please take extra care during this period of severe weather.
Weather warning in place from 12noon Friday 14 November until 8am Saturday 15 November
During working hours report any issues via info@dlrcoco.ie or on-line here.
Out of hours number: 01 677 8844
Preparations Ahead of the Weather Warning
The Surface Water Operations crews have inspected all major watercourses and removed any large debris or items that can cause a flood risk. They have also cleared approximately 40 river debris screens across Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and ensured tidal outfalls from watercourses are unobstructed.
Our Cleansing and Gully Crews regularly check areas that are known to flood. They make sure there is no build-up of debris and that drains are clear. When heavy rain or storms are expected, this work is increased to prepare for the extra water. The crews also work outside normal hours to respond to reports from the public through our out-of-hours service.
