Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is inviting the public to take part in a non-statutory “Have Your Say” public consultation on the future of the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan (SUFP) area which includes the following main areas:

  • Stillorgan Business Park
  • Sandyford Business Park
  • Central Park
  • South County Business Park
  • Legionaries of Christ Lands
  • Leopardstown Park Hospital.

This is a chance for you to help reimagine the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan area, transforming it into a thriving urban district that works for everyone. If you're interested in shaping the vision and future of the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan area, we invite you to take a few minutes to complete this survey. The survey seeks your views on the following key themes: Residential, Employment, Retail and Services, Community Facilities and Social Infrastructure, Connectivity and Permeability, Climate Action and Sustainability. Your input will help guide future planning and ensure the area evolves in a way that reflects the needs and aspirations of the community.

Councillor Jim Gildea, An Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said:

“This is an opportunity to have your say on the vision of the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan area. Whether you’re a resident, business owner, employee, or visitor, your views matter. We’re asking you to get involved to help us further shape the future for a vibrant, well-connected place that works for all ages, abilities, and interests.”

Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said:

“We would like to continue to encourage the growth of employment and to explore a greater provision of homes in the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan area and in doing so, provide for the supporting uses of retail, civic and cultural, leisure, health, education and other services that will deliver on the '10-Minute Neighbourhood’. Our ambition is to create a thriving place that fosters a sense of community and promote the area as place for all to live, work, visit and invest in.”

Two public drop-in information sessions will take place during the consultation. These will give all interested parties the chance to meet the team, ask questions and share ideas in person. Take part and help us create a new vision for the Sandyford Urban Framework Area.

The consultation will be open until 25 August 2025.  Visit Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council - Citizen Space for more information.
