Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has been announced as title partner of the 2026 Irish Open, marking a landmark partnership that strengthens the connection between the tournament and its host county.
International tour tennis will return to south Dublin this summer, with the Irish Open taking place for the third consecutive year at Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club. The Council’s support will help deliver a high-quality event, bringing elite professional tennis to local courts.
This partnership not only enhances the profile of the tournament but also provides an important platform for Irish players to compete at the highest level on home soil. It represents a valuable investment in sport locally, inspiring the next generation of players and promoting participation across the community.
Cllr Barry Saul, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said:
“Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is proud to be the title partner of the 2026 Irish Open, bringing world-class tennis to our county once again. This landmark partnership strengthens the connection between the event and its home in Carrickmines, while showcasing our area on an international stage. Just as importantly, it provides a unique opportunity for Irish players to compete at the highest level on home soil and inspires young people across our communities to get involved in sport. We look forward to welcoming players and visitors for what promises to be an exciting and memorable tournament.”
Kevin Quinn, CEO of Tennis Ireland, added:
"Having Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council on board as title partner is a significant moment for the Irish Open. Their backing allows us to grow the event and to mark a real milestone this year, with professional women's tennis returning to Ireland at this level. It is a partnership built on a shared belief in what tennis can offer local communities and aspiring players across the country."
Irish players will have the opportunity to secure a place in the main draw through a wild card play-off taking place at Beckett Park, Cherrywood in mid-July, providing a valuable pathway for home talent to compete at this level.
Tickets for the 2026 Irish Open will go on sale at the end of June via Universe, with main draw prices starting from €10. Entry to the qualifying rounds will be free of charge, with ticketing required.
The Irish Open will take place at Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club, Dublin, from Sunday 26 July to Sunday 2 August 2026.
