New Sprint Track Now Open!
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is proud to announce the completion of the Sprint Track at Shanganagh Park.
The good news - Members of the Public are free!

For Sports Days and other Events with large numbers of participants expected, please book through our Events team, at: events@dlrcoco.ie.
The use of bicycles, e-scooters, kids scooters, skateboards and dogs, are not permitted on the track, as this could cause damage to the surface. Please wear appropriate footwear, as football boots with studs are not permitted on the track.
For any group bookings (inc clubs), Public Liability is required to the sum of €6.5 million, Employer Liability to €13 million, naming Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council under Indemnity.

About the Park
Shanganagh Park is a very important suburban park located on the edge of the county and surrounded by extensive greenbelt lands.
The current extent of Shangangh Park features c.36 hectares (89 acres). The Cemetery bounds the park to the south and comprises c. 20 hectares (50 acres) and Shanganagh Castle sits along the north western edge of the park and the grounds cover c. 5 hectares (12 acres).
Shanganagh Park is classified as a ‘Gateway Park’ within the County’s Green Infrastructure Strategy and a ‘Major Local Park’ in the Open Space Strategy. The park is characterised by its unique geographical location situated on the coast while also adjacent to the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains.
