Street Furniture fees to be waived for businesses for 2025
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Street Furniture fees to be waived for businesses for 2025
James Browne, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, plans to waive street furniture license fees for tables and chairs associated with outdoor dining for the remainder of 2025. The draft Planning and Development (Street Furniture Fees) Regulations 2025 will support businesses like hotels, restaurants, and public houses where food is sold on premises. Browne aims to help small businesses and the hospitality sector deal with costs, build their businesses, and create employment. The waiver will require regulations to pass through both Houses of the Oireachtas, with the waiver expected to be in place in time for summer. We are in the process of accepting license applications from businesses who place tables, chairs and Street signs outside their business through an online portal.
