Shanganagh Park, Shankill – St Anne's Park Entrance Closure

General News
cycling in shanganagh park

Works are continuing in Shanganagh Park as part of the Shanganagh Park Phase 1 project.

To allow these works to take place safely, a temporary closure of the pedestrian entrance to St Anne's Park will be required from Monday 24 August to Monday 7 September.

The existing pedestrian access to St Anne's Park will close to facilitate improvement works.

Alternative access will be available for the duration of these works, through the maintenance access gate.

The wider Shanganagh Phase 1 project is upgrading and consolidating sports facilities across the park, including a full-sized GAA pitch, a shared cricket and baseball space, a 100m sprint track, a calisthenics area, a 3v3 basketball court, additional seating and agility play, alongside improved access over the DART line, all while protecting the park's existing meadows and enhancing biodiversity on the site.

The 100m sprint track, play trail, calisthenics area and 3v3 basketball court have recently opened to the public and have been well received. Work continues to complete this corner of the park in the coming weeks.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these improvements are underway.
