Have your say on the future of Sandyford Business District
Have your say on the future of Sandyford Business District!
We are asking people to share their views on the proposed renewal of the Sandyford Business Improvement District (BID) scheme. The BID was first set up in 2017 to help improve the Sandyford Business District. It is funded by local businesses and supports projects that make the area a better place to work and visit.
The organisation that manages the BID has now asked the Council to begin the official process to renew the scheme. Before any decision can be made, the Council must ask for public feedback. This is a requirement under the Local Government (Business Improvement Districts) Act 2006, which sets out how BID schemes can be created or renewed.
The renewal proposal explains how the scheme would continue to support the business district, including improvements to public spaces, local services, and business supports. During a previous consultation period, most submissions received were in favour of renewing the scheme. The Council provided all submissions to the BID organisation so they could review the feedback, as required by law.
The Council is now inviting new submissions so that everyone who works in, lives in, or has an interest in the Sandyford Business District can have a say in its future.
