Barnaslingan Lane Closure

As part of the Glenamuck District Roads Scheme, Barnaslingan Lane will be permanently closed to vehicular traffic at its intersection with the Glenamuck Link Distributor Road (GLDR). Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.

This closure is scheduled to come into effect during the week commencing 16 February 2026 to facilitate ongoing construction works on the GLDR.

A temporary local traffic diversion will be in place, making use of a completed section of the GLDR between Barnaslingan Lane and Ballycorus Road.

The interim traffic diversion and routes will be clearly signposted. A diagram of the diversion route is provided below.

Once the GLDR fully opens in Q2 2026, vehicular traffic from Barnaslingan Lane will be able to travel:

• South towards Enniskerry, or
• North towards Kilternan, Carrickmines and Stepaside
