About the dlr Equality and Accessibility Office 

The newly established Equality Office oversees Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). The Equality Officer will ensure that the council has the policies and structures in place to meet its statutory obligations under relevant legislation, including the Equal Status Acts and the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty. The Equality Officer role sits within the Corporate Affairs directorate, with duties assigned by both the Corporate Services and Human Resources departments. The Equality Officer is a key point of contact and liaison with other Sections or Departments in the council, providing guidance and leadership on all matters relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
