Blackrock Baths Shore
Blackrock Baths Shore offers picturesque views across Dublin Bay to Howth and Sandymount strand and Dun Laoghaire. It is not a designated swimming area, and the old baths were decommissioned in the 1980’s. Blackrock shore and surrounds is named after the local geological rock formation found in the area. Unfortunately, the main Black rock was removed to make way for the building of the railway line in Victorian times.
