Call for applications
The Visual Art Commission is an opportunity for visual artists to create new work that examines and connects to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County . The selected artist received €12,000 and an exhibition in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire.
Applications were invited from individual artists; also from two artists who worked together or two artists who would have liked to exhibit together. Group shows were not considered for this opportunity. Three exhibitions were selected from this call out and will take place in 2024, 2025 and 2026. This opportunity was open to artists who are living in, working in or originally from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County; and to artists who have studied visual art in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
These commissions were funded by The Arts Council.
