Have your Say for a Creative Day
Have your Say for a Creative Day
We are inviting children, young people, parents, schools, youth groups and creative practitioners to share their ideas for Cruinniú na nÓg 2026.
A public survey is now open, giving the community an opportunity to help design a full day of free creative activities taking place on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
Cruinniú na nÓg is Ireland’s national day of creativity for children and young people. Each year, it showcases talent, encourages creative expression and offers young people the chance to try something new — from art and music to performance, storytelling, crafting and more. dlr libraries and the Arts Office are now beginning to plan the 2026 programme and want the public’s input to ensure that the day reflects the interests, ideas and needs of local families.
The survey asks participants what creative activities they would like to see offered, what types of workshops or events would best support children’s creativity, and how the programme can be made accessible and engaging for all ages and abilities.
Feedback will help shape the design of events across the county’s libraries, cultural venues and outdoor spaces.
The consultation is open until Friday, 6 March 2026.
