Dún Laoghaire Harbour
Vico Baths Closed – No Access
30 May 2026
Killiney
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is reminding the public that Hawks Cliff (Vico Baths) remains closed until the end of June 2026. The site is currently an active construction area. For safety reasons, members of the public are asked not to remove or climb over the fencing and barriers in place. Despite this, people continue to access the site to swim. This poses a serious safety risk and may delay completion of the project.
Alternative nearby swimming locations include:
- Killiney Beach
- Sandycove
- Seapoint
Access to the Éire sign grass area remains open.
We ask all visitors to respect the fencing, barriers and safety signage in place.
Works underway include:
- Repairs to concrete access steps
- Replacement of damaged railings
- Installation of new swim ladders
These improvements will enhance the existing facilities and help protect the area for future use.
