Traffic & Road Works Update 4–10 April

General News
traffic management

There will be a number of road works, temporary road closures and traffic management measures across Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown this week. Road users are asked to allow extra time for journeys and follow signage on site.

Wyattville Link Road, Cherrywood

From Monday 13 April 2026, a temporary 50km/h speed limit will apply on the westbound Wyattville Link Road between Cherrywood Avenue and the Cherrywood M50 southbound slip road. These measures are required to facilitate construction works for the Beckett Link Road Project. Traffic management arrangements will be in place and access to M50 slip roads will be maintained.

Sandyford Business District – Sandyford 5K

A number of roads in Sandyford Business District will be partially or fully closed on Thursday 7 May 2026 from approximately 7.00pm to 8.45pm to facilitate the Sandyford 5K. Affected roads include Blackthorn Road, Blackthorn Avenue, Blackthorn Drive, Carmanhall Road, Three Rock Road, Corrig Road and Raven’s Rock Road. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted and emergency access can be accommodated if required.

Burton Hall Road, Sandyford

Burton Hall Road will be closed from Monday 6 April to Friday 8 May 2026 to facilitate watermain works. Pedestrian and local access will be maintained and diversion routes will be in place.

Knapton Road, Dún Laoghaire

A section of Knapton Road at Mounttown Road will remain closed until Friday 17 July 2026 as part of the Dún Laoghaire Central Active Travel Scheme. Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.

Military Road, Ballybrack

Military Road will be closed on Saturdays 4, 11, 18 and 25 April 2026, from 8.00am to 6.00pm, to facilitate speed ramp works. Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
