Temporary closure of M50/M11

General News

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close the M50 and M11 in the following sections:

  • M50 J16 (Cherrywood) to M11 J6 (Bray South) from the 11th of September to the 29th of September from 22:00 to 06:00.
  • M11 J5 (Bray North) to N11 J7 (Kilcroney) from the 18th of September to the 6th of October from 22:00 to 06:00.
  • N11 J7 (Kilcroney) to M11 J5 (Bray North) on the 25th of September to the 6th of October from 22:00 to 06:00.
  • M11 J6 (Bray South) to M11 J5 (Bray North) on the 2nd of October to the 13th of October from 22:00 to 06:00.

The purpose of the closure is to resurface the M11 Southbound. Only one carriageway and diversion route will be closed on any given night. Intermediate junctions will be closed as required. Local access will be maintained where required with residents contacted in advance of works commencing.

Alternative routes will be available adn diversions will be signposted.

Any interested parties may lodge objections/observations in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire by noon on Thursday 7th September, 2023 or email info@dlrcoco.ie.
