Storm Austen: Be Prepared

Storm Austen is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds and a risk of localised flooding from Thursday night into Friday morning.

• Secure bins, garden furniture, trampolines and any loose outdoor items before Thursday evening.
• Take extra care on the roads. Watch for fallen trees, debris, and difficult driving conditions, especially during Friday morning's commute.
• Never drive through flooded roads.
• Allow extra time for essential journeys and, where possible, review travel plans.
• Stay up to date with Met Éireann weather warnings and follow our social media channels for local updates.

Our outdoor and emergency response crews are preparing across the county and will continue to monitor conditions closely.
