The much‑anticipated Dún Laoghaire St Patrick’s Day Parade is gearing up for a spectacular return, with none other than St Patrick himself making a dramatic arrival at the Dún Laoghaire Baths to share the big announcement. He was joined by the vibrant performers of Samba Dance Brazil, members of the Dún Laoghaire Men’s Shed, Chief Executive Frank Curran, Councillor Jim Gildea, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown County Council, Cllr Lorraine Hall, Chair of the St Patrick’s Day Committee and Elected Members, all coming together to officially launch what promises to be an unforgettable celebration.

Returning for its third year, the Dún Laoghaire St Patrick’s Day parade will burst into life at 11am on 17 March, filling the seafront with colour, music and unstoppable St Patrick’s Day energy. Starting at Islington Avenue (Newtownsmith) and finishing at Marine Road, the parade will feature over 50 groups taking to the streets including Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Irish Coast Guard, the James Joyce Tower & Museum, the Twilight Twirlers, RNLI Dún Laoghaire, Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns, Goat Boat Tours, St Michael’s Rowing Club, dancers, sports clubs and many more.  This year’s parade is set to deliver vibrant, high-spirited celebrations all the way through, with lively excitement as it travels along the scenic coastline.

After the parade, the fun keeps going as St Patrick will be on hand for photos at the Tourist Information Kiosk (beside Meadows & Byrne) while DJ Gordo turns up the atmosphere with crowd‑pleasing classics. Festival‑goers can also enjoy the CoCo Markets, open from 11am–4pm in the People’s Park with great food, crafts, and local produce.

This event is proudly supported and funded by Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown County Council, the Dún Laoghaire Business Association, and Core Credit Union.
