Social Enterprises: We Want to Hear From You

The four Dublin local authorities have launched a pre-market consultation to engage with social enterprises, sheltered employment programmes and similar organisations interested in future public procurement opportunities.

The consultation aims to identify social enterprises operating in the market, understand the goods and services they provide, and explore opportunities to enhance social value through public procurement. It will also contribute to the development of a directory of organisations interested in tendering for future opportunities.

The local authorities recognise the significant contribution social enterprises make to society, particularly in creating employment opportunities and supporting disadvantaged communities.

This exercise is not a call for competition and participation will not affect any future procurement processes. Instead, it is intended to gather information that will help inform future procurement strategies and engagement with the sector.

Interested organisations are invited to complete the online response form by 12 noon on Monday, 23 November 2026. Queries must be submitted through eTenders by 5pm on Monday, 16 November 2026.

The initiative is being undertaken by the Dublin Regional Procurement Group (DRPG), comprising Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council.
