Public Consultation: Playground in the People's Park, Dún Laoghaire

We are asking the public to share their views on plans to upgrade the playground in The People’s Park in Dún Laoghaire.

The People’s Park is one of the most valued historic parks in the county. The Council now plans to improve the existing playground and wants local people to help shape the design.

The public consultation gives people a chance to say what they would like to see in the new playground. This includes ideas about play equipment, layout, and how the space can meet the needs of children and families.

The aim is to create a playground that is welcoming for everyone. dlr want the space to be inclusive, easy to use, and suitable for children of all ages and abilities. 

The Council is encouraging residents, families, schools and community groups to take part. Feedback from the consultation will help guide the design of the upgraded playground.

People can take part by filling out a short online survey on the Council’s consultation website. 

The consultation is open now and will close on 22 June 2026. 

Anyone with an interest in The People’s Park is invited to take part and share their ideas!
