Proposed Temporary Closure of Sussex Street, Dun Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received a Temporary Road Closure application from Kavanagh Crane Hire Ltd proposing to temporarily close Sussex Street, Dún Laoghaire from its junction with Eblana Avenue (North End) to adjacent to no.12 Sussex Street House (South End) from 9pm on Saturday the 11th of November, 2023 to 9am on Sunday the 12th of November, 2023.There will be a crane setup on Sussex Street.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and pedestrian and local access will be maintained at all times. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the upgrade of heating/air con units for the Penny’s store, 84/85 Lower George’s Street.
Any interested parties may lodge objections/observations in writing to the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire not later than 12pm on Wednesday the 8th of November or email info@dlrcoco.ie.
