Proposed Temporary Closure of Ballinteer Road

With reference to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application to temporarily close Ballinteer Road from Barton Road East roundabout to Dundrum crossroads. The proposed closure will run from Monday, 11th September 2023 to Friday, 15th September 2023 between 20:00 hrs and 08:00 hrs.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and pedestrian and local access will be maintained at all times. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.   

The purpose of the closure is remedial work required to expansion joints on Dom Marmion bridge. These works will be carried out by Ecoflex Ltd on behalf of DLR Road Maintenance section. 

Any interested parties may lodge objections/observations in writing to the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire not later than noon on Wednesday, 30th August, 2023 or email info@dlrcoco.ie.
