Parking Charges Changing from 1 January 2026
10 December 2025
Dun Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council agreed at its Budget Meeting on 25 November 2025 to increase parking charges.
The new rates will apply from 1 January 2026 for both on-street parking and Council car parks. Charges in the Dún Laoghaire Harbour area will stay the same.
These changes, which average a 20% increase across the County, are needed to cover rising costs and to keep funding essential services like road maintenance, public lighting, and traffic improvements.
New tariff plates will be added to parking meters before the start date, but current rates remain in place until 1 January 2026.
