Developed by Fáilte Ireland in association with the Office of Public Works, New Year’s Festival Dublin hosts 3 days of celebrations across the city with an exciting line up of musical acts set to perform from 30 December 2025 through to 1 January 2026.

The NYF Dublin Fireworks Spectacular, subject to licence, promises an evening of family-friendly fun and excitement. On 31 December at 7pm, the Dublin skies will burst into colour with a stunning, music-synchronised fireworks show at Dún Laoghaire Harbour.

Councillor Jim Gildea, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, said:

"Ring in the New Year with us at Dún Laoghaire Harbour! We’re proud to partner with Fáilte Ireland to bring this free event to the community. Don’t miss this unforgettable celebration as fireworks light up the night sky from 7pm, creating a spectacular backdrop to welcome 2026."

Ciara Sugrue, Head of Festivals and Events at Fáilte Ireland said:

“Fáilte Ireland is pleased to announce the return of the NYF Dublin Fireworks Spectacular at Dún Laoghaire as part of this year’s New Year’s Festival Dublin. The 2025 programme of events will showcase Ireland’s best culture, live music, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. As a flagship event in our Winter in Dublin programme, the festival plays a vital role in attracting visitors during the shoulder season and driving economic benefits for local communities and businesses in Dún Laoghaire and the wider county. We look forward to working with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, the Office of Public Works and Fingal County Council to deliver an unforgettable three-day celebration this December.”

Spectators can enjoy the view from Sandycove right through to Dún Laoghaire Town, making it a magical experience for all ages. As a highlight of Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin programme, New Year’s Festival Dublin plays an important role in welcoming visitors and supporting the local economy. New Year’s Festival Dublin is a Fáilte Ireland initiative, produced and promoted by MCD Productions, in association with the Office of Public Works.
