New mural unveiled at Clonkeen Park, Deansgrange

General News
Mural on a wall in Clonkeen Park

A new mural has been completed at Clonkeen Park, Deansgrange, as part of dlr Anseo, celebrating local history and shared community memories through public art.

Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown County Council was delighted to welcome artist Adam Warren (ADW) to the area to create the mural, which draws inspiration from Deansgrange’s industrial past. The artwork references Boland’s Biscuit Factory and the fondly remembered “Broken Biscuits Friday”, a small but meaningful memory shared by many local families.

Using bold colours and strong visual storytelling, the mural reflects how everyday moments can become part of a place’s collective identity. It adds a vibrant new feature to Clonkeen Park while recognising the history that has shaped the surrounding community.

The project forms part of dlr Anseo, Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown County Council’s programme supporting artists and creative placemaking across the county.

You can view images of the mural showing the before, work‑in‑progress, and finished artwork on our social media channels.
