Moreen Park Teen Space Works Commence Monday, 24 August 2026

Construction works on the new Moreen Park Teen Space will commence on Monday, 24 August 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting enhancement project that will create a dedicated recreational space for young people in the local community.

The project has been designed to provide a vibrant and welcoming environment that encourages outdoor activity, social interaction, health and wellbeing for teenagers and young people in the area.

The new Teen Space will include:

• 3v3 basketball court
• Multi-sports skills ball wall
• Outdoor calisthenics fitness area
• Social seating and gathering spaces
• Table tennis zone
• Social swings
• Bike parking facilities
• Enhanced landscaping, tree planting and hedging

The development forms part of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality recreational facilities and inclusive public spaces for all age groups.

Construction Programme

Works are expected to take approximately three months to complete, subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption during the construction period.

To facilitate the works, a section of the existing Astro Pitch will be temporarily unavailable until construction is complete. The Council is continuing to engage with stakeholders regarding these arrangements.
