Marking the successful rollout of LIFT Ireland in Sandyford Business District
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, through its Economic Development Department, have been partnering with LIFT Ireland for more than 5 years to support companies in DLR to develop a positive culture which is increasingly important for staff retention and attraction. Through its unique programme, LIFT has successfully demonstrated that it can change organisations from the inside out by allowing staff to connect in a real way that facilitates honest conversations, which can have a huge impact on morale, productivity, innovation and a true sense of team.
Councillor Denis O'Callaghan, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, said:
"It's great to see companies of all sizes embracing LIFT and we're delighted that we have played a small part in helping them with this. From speaking with the companies here today, they are reporting that the impacts in their organisations are very real and coupled with the fact that it does not take up much time, LIFT makes it a good choice for companies wishing to improve their culture.”
Frank Curran, Chief Executive of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council added:
"We are delighted with the uptake of LIFT in the County and particularly in Sandyford Business District. Our role in the economics team in the council is to support a positive business environment, this goes beyond the physical infrastructure projects that we often undertake to improve attraction and retention. Companies that embrace LIFT are giving themselves a natural advantage in building a positive workplace culture."
Owen Laverty, Head of Enterprise and Economics in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council stated:
"Having rolled out LIFT internally in the LEO team in 2018 the benefits were immediately obvious. And we knew that this needed to be rolled out into our client companies. If I was to summarise it, LIFT helps teams to have more honest and meaningful conversations around important matters that impact how and why we go about our work. Having a background in executive coaching, I recognise that LIFT can bring a similar level of self-awareness across an organisation at a very low cost and time overhead."
Greg Brennan, Chairman of Sandyford Business District added:
“We have been supporters of LIFT Ireland for more than four years and are delighted to see the continued commitment of companies in the district to the programme. The latest addition of the Ardagh Group to the district’s LIFT family is a testament to the impact and effectiveness of LIFT. We are happy to continuously promote positive culture change in the district and LIFT is a key component of this strategy,”
Joanne Hession, Chief Executive Officer, LIFT Ireland concluded:
"LIFT has received a very positive reaction from the businesses within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, particularly in the Sandyford Business District. Over the past five years, our collaboration with the Council's Economic Development Department has helped enhance corporate cultures across DLR. The feedback from companies here has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting enhanced connection and engagement, strengthened cultures, and stronger, more cohesive teams. At LIFT Ireland, we believe in the power of self-leadership and genuine connections at work, and it’s inspiring to see such tangible benefits unfolding within companies that have joined us on this journey. Our programme’s minimal time requirement and profound impact make it an optimal choice for any organisation aiming to cultivate a positive and innovative workplace culture."
