Ireland’s first floating sauna was officially launched today at Dún Laoghaire Harbour by Leas-Cathaoirleach Pierce Dargan, marking an exciting new addition to the harbour’s growing mix of leisure and wellness amenities. Set against the backdrop of Dublin Bay, the innovative sauna offers a unique coastal experience, combining heat therapy with the refreshing benefits of a cold plunge pool. The new facility further enhances Dún Laoghaire’s reputation as a prime destination for outdoor recreation, wellbeing and sea-based activities.
Speaking at the launch, Leas-Cathaoirleach Pierce Dargan welcomed the initiative, highlighting the importance of activating the harbour in new and engaging ways that connect people with the water. A special mention was given to Helios Sauna and Harbour staff, whose vision and partnership brought the project to life.
The floating sauna will open tomorrow 30 May and is expected to attract both locals and visitors seeking a distinctive wellness experience by the sea.
