Hawk’s Cliff Swimming Area – Temporary Closure from Monday, 2 March
27 February 2026
dlr County
We have appointed Cunningham Civil and Marine Ltd to carry out essential repair works at Hawk’s Cliff Swimming Place (Vico Baths) beginning Monday, 2 March. The works are expected to take approximately 13 weeks, though timelines may vary depending on weather conditions and tidal access.
For public safety, Hawk’s Cliff Swimming area will be closed for the full duration of the works. Access to the Éire Sign grass area will remain open. We ask all visitors to please respect the fencing, barriers, and safety signage in place.
The project will include:
- Repairs to concrete access steps
- Replacement of damaged railings
- Installation of new swim ladders.
These works will enhance the existing swimming facilities and help protect this area for future use.
