Have Your Say on the Draft Litter Management Plan 2027-2029

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is seeking public feedback on its Draft Litter Management Plan 2027-2029.

The Plan sets out the Council's objectives for preventing and managing litter across the county, built around four key priorities: Litter Prevention and Control, Community Engagement and Awareness, Operations, and Enforcement.

The consultation invites residents to share their views on each section of the Draft Plan to help shape its final version, with responses helping to protect the environment and support the Plan's objectives for the 2027 to 2029 period.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown has a population of 233,860 and covers approximately 12,731 hectares, stretching from Booterstown marsh in the north to Shankill and north Bray in the south, with Glencullen and Rathfarnham to the west. The county takes in Dún Laoghaire, Dundrum and the Sandyford Business District, and is home to key visitor attractions including Marlay Park and House, Cabinteely Park and House, Fernhill Park, Blackrock Park, Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Killiney Hill.

Submissions will form part of a Chief Executive's report, which will be made publicly available. Personal data, including names and email addresses, will not be included in the report or otherwise published. The Council also collects information on age and connection to the area (living, working, studying or visiting) for statistical purposes only, and this will not appear in any public report.
