Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to present The Space Between, an exhibition of new multimedia art works by artists from ArtNetdlr. The exhibition is funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Selected and curated by artist Louise Neiland, the exhibition brings together works by ArtNetdlr artists in response to the theme The Space Between. The exhibition explores moments of pause, transition and quiet tension, considering what exists between forms, ideas, gestures and meanings. The artists explore the theme through human relationships, overlooked spaces, displacement and the creation of new spaces and forms.

Spanning photography, painting in oil and acrylic, and sculpture incorporating glass, ceramic and wood, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of media and approaches. Through the interplay of individual artworks, contrasts and connections emerge, inviting visitors to discover new relationships and interpretations as they move through the gallery.

The artworks explore the spaces that exist between people, places, ideas and experiences. These may be physical or emotional, visible or unseen, offering opportunities for reflection and new perspectives. Through contrasts and connections, the exhibition considers how absence, distance, repetition and restraint can shape our understanding of the world around us. Together, the works reveal The Space Between as a place of uncertainty, transformation and possibility, where meaning can emerge as much from what is left unsaid or unseen as from what is present.
