Essential repair works at Hawk’s Cliff Swimming Place (Vico Baths)
Essential repair works commenced at Hawk’s Cliff Swimming Place (Vico Baths) at the beginning of March. Good progress has been made, with extensive concrete repairs to steps and walkways now complete. Measurements for new metalwork have been finalised and fabrication is currently underway.
As the works are dependent on weather conditions and tidal access, the estimated completion date is the end of June 2026.
For public safety, the swimming area remains closed for the duration of the works and will reopen once works are complete. Access to the Éire Sign grass area will remain open.
We ask all visitors to please respect all fencing, barriers and safety signage in place.
The project includes:
- Repairs to concrete access steps
- Replacement of damaged railings
- Installation of new swim ladders
These works will improve the existing swimming facilities and help protect the area for future use.
