Environmental & Sustainability Workshops for Schools 2026/2027

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is offering a range of fully funded environmental education programmes and workshops for primary and secondary schools across the county. The programmes aim to promote environmental awareness, climate action and sustainable behaviours through practical, engaging activities delivered by experienced facilitators. Schools can register their interest when applications open.

Programmes Available

Primary School Programmes

• Picker Pals: Encourages pupils and their families to take positive environmental action, particularly around litter picking and community involvement. 

Secondary School Programmes

• ReLove Fashion: Focuses on sustainable fashion, textile waste and the environmental impact of clothing consumption.
• Rubbish Film Festival: Uses filmmaking and creativity to engage students with environmental themes and sustainability issues. 

Primary and Secondary School Programmes

• Composting & Recycling for Schools: Provides practical learning about waste reduction, recycling and composting.
• Let's Fix Fashion: Encourages clothing repair, reuse and more sustainable fashion habits. 

The programme helps schools educate students about climate action, waste reduction, sustainability and environmental responsibility through hands-on learning opportunities. Places are limited, and schools are encouraged to register early when expressions of interest open.
