Street Lights

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has opened a public consultation on a proposal to take charge of the roads and related infrastructure at Stonebridge Wood, Stonebridge Lane, Shankill, Dublin 18.

If the proposal is approved, the following would become public infrastructure, maintained by the Council and Uisce Éireann:

  • Roads
  • Footpaths
  • Public lighting
  • Open spaces
  • Foul sewers
  • Surface water sewers
  • Water mains

Legal basis

The Council is acting under Section 180 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 and is giving notice of its intention to commence procedures under Section 11 of the Roads Act 1993 (as amended). This would allow the Council to consider declaring the roads, footpaths, public lighting, open space, and water and sewer infrastructure at Stonebridge Wood to be public.
