Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown County Council has been honoured with three prestigious awards at the 2026 LAMA All Ireland Community & Council Awards, which celebrate collaboration between communities and councils and spotlight initiatives that strengthen and enrich community life.

Our commitment to innovation in housing was recognised with two major category wins for the Shanganagh Castle Estate development in Major Infrastructure and Best Housing & Regeneration. These awards acknowledge the transformative nature of the project, the quality of its design, and its contribution to delivering sustainable, modern homes while strengthening the social fabric of the local area.

In addition to these category wins, we received the Grand Prix Award, the highest honour of the evening. The LAMA Grand Prix Award is presented to the most successful local authority based on overall performance across multiple award categories, making it the top accolade at the LAMA All Ireland Community & Council Awards. Winning this award highlights the dedication, collaboration and high standards demonstrated across the organisation.

This success reflects the hard work of teams across Housing and Architects, as well as the support of our elected members involved in bringing this landmark development forward.

Well done to all the teams involved across the organisation, this achievement showcases the exceptional impact of our work and our continued commitment to delivering high‑quality services and projects for our communities.
