dlr Projects Shortlisted for Excellence in Local Government Awards 2026
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to announce that two of its projects have been shortlisted for the Excellence in Local Government Awards 2026.
Organised annually by Chambers Ireland in conjunction with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and sponsored by Perigus Energy, the awards recognise outstanding Local Authority initiatives from across the country and celebrate the important role local government plays in supporting communities.
The following dlr projects have been shortlisted:
Sustainable Environment & Biodiversity
Shanganagh Castle Estate: Leading the Way to a Better Future for All
Climate Change
Roebuck Road Housing: Setting the Standard for Sustainable Living
These projects demonstrate dlr's commitment to delivering sustainable, energy-efficient communities while enhancing quality of life for residents. The recognition highlights the Council's ongoing work in addressing climate challenges, promoting biodiversity and creating high-quality places to live.
The Excellence in Local Government Awards feature shortlisted projects across 16 categories, showcasing innovation, leadership and best practice within local government nationwide.
The winners will be announced at the Excellence in Local Government Awards ceremony on 26 November 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin, where one local authority will also be named Local Authority of the Year 2026.
