DLR Exploring Early‑Stage Redevelopment Proposals at Pearse Estate, Sallynoggin
Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council can confirm that it is examining the potential for a future redevelopment within the Pearse Estate, Sallynoggin as part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing housing across the county. This work is at a very early and exploratory stage. A number of preliminary design options are currently being assessed; however, no funding has been secured and no formal approvals are in place. Currently, we cannot provide a timeline for the progression or completion of any proposals.
To ensure residents are informed from the outset, we have issued correspondence to all homes in the area, including those no longer in local authority ownership. The purpose of this communication is to advise the wider community that redevelopment options are being explored and to clarify which properties located within the area are currently under consideration.
At this point, the exploratory proposals relate only to certain local authority–owned maisonettes within the estate. Not all homes in Pearse Estate are included, and no decisions have been made regarding the future of any individual property. Once plans are further developed, they will be shared with elected representatives and made available for public review and consultation.
We are committed to ensuring that residents and the wider community will have opportunities to engage with the process when more detailed information is available, and while early notification may prompt questions or concerns, we wish to reassure residents that no final decisions have been made and that further updates will be issued publicly as this exploratory work progresses.
If you are a local authority tenant or a homeowner in Pearse Estate and have queries about your property, please contact Housing Maintenance on 01 205 4700.
