Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is pleased to announce that upgrade works to Carysfort Park Playground are now underway, following a successful public consultation process.

The project will deliver a significant enhancement of the existing playground, including an expanded play area with additional inclusive play opportunities, improved accessibility, a new play tower, upgraded seating, landscaping works and full resurfacing.

In order to facilitate these improvements, the playground will be closed for the duration of the works. The remainder of Carysfort Park will remain open and accessible to the public.

The Council acknowledges that the temporary closure may cause some inconvenience and appreciates the patience and understanding of park users during this time.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of August 2026. The upgraded playground will provide an improved and more inclusive recreational space for the local community.
