Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) 2026

Following on from the announcement on Friday 25th July by James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) 2026 for the repair and conservation of protected structures has been launched for the coming year. 

Applications must be made using Form A, please see Guidance booklet and application checklist to assist with completing Form A. 

Applications should be forwarded to conservationgrants@dlrcoco.ie

The closing date for BHIS 2026 applications to reach local authorities is Friday 26th September.
