Booking Essential for Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Residents are being encouraged to book their place now for the upcoming free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day at Ballyogan Recycling Park, taking place on Saturday, 17 October from 9.30am to 2.30pm. Due to the popularity of the event, advance booking is essential, and only householders with a confirmed booking will be admitted.

The collection day offers residents a safe and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted hazardous materials that may be stored around the home. By bringing these items to the event, residents can help protect the environment and ensure hazardous waste is managed correctly.

Items accepted include paints, aerosols, cleaning chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, adhesives, motor oil and other products displaying hazardous warning symbols. Commercial and farm waste will not be accepted.

Residents are encouraged to check sheds, garages and storage areas for old or unused products and dispose of them safely at the event.
