Be Emergency Ready Sep26

Emergencies and unexpected disruptions can happen at any time. Storms, flooding, power outages, water disruptions and other events can affect our homes, services and communities.

The national Be Emergency Ready campaign provides practical information to help individuals, families and communities plan and prepare for emergencies.

There are three simple steps you can take:

  • Be aware of the risks that may affect you and your household.
  • Make a plan for how you will manage if essential services are disrupted.
  • Stay connected with family, friends, neighbours and trusted sources of information.

Some preparation is better than no preparation. Simple actions taken now can make a significant difference during an emergency.
