Bathing Water Quality Notice – Temporary Bathing Prohibition

Following a Yellow Thunderstorm warning issued by Met Éireann at 19:29 on Monday 1 June, with heavy rainfall starting at the same time, there may have been an increase in bacteria levels in the water.

Prohibition Notices are now in place at the following locations and will remain in place until Friday, 5 June:

  • Blackrock
  • Coliemore Harbour
  • Corbawn Lane
  • Dún Laoghaire Baths
  • Forty Foot
  • Killiney
  • Sandycove
  • Seapoint
  • White Rock.

Please avoid entering the water at these locations during this period.
