Autumn Leaf Collection Underway

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's regular road sweeping schedules will be temporarily suspended from 28 September 2026 as crews focus on clearing fallen leaves across the county during the autumn and winter months.

Each year, the Council redirects its road sweeping resources to leaf collection to help keep roads, footpaths and cycle lanes safe and clear. Areas with higher concentrations of trees and vegetation will receive more frequent attention, particularly locations prone to flooding, busy roads, cycle lanes and heavily used pedestrian areas.

Requests from members of the public will continue to be addressed throughout the leaf collection season.

Regular road sweeping schedules are expected to resume in February/March 2027, when the majority of leaf fall has occurred.
