This week, Councillor Denis O’Callaghan, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, officially opened 55 new homes at Kiln View, Clay Farm in partnership with the Iveagh Trust. The new homes, consisting of 35 one-bedroom and 20 two-bedroom apartments, have been allocated to individuals on the dlr social housing list. These A-rated homes have been funded through the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage, with additional support from the Housing Finance Agency and now brings the total of Part V homes delivered at Clay Farm to 166.

Councillor Denis O’Callaghan, Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, said at the official launch:

"I welcome the delivery of these new homes at Kiln View, which are close to amenities, public transport routes, local commercial centres, and the nearby Fernhill Park and Gardens. This is another step in providing accommodation for people on our social housing lists."

Chairman of the Iveagh Trust, Rory Guinness, shared his excitement for the new community, stating:

"My family has been in the business of providing homes and communities for five generations, so we are looking forward to establishing long-lasting friendships with everyone in this magnificent community."

Last year, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Approved Housing Bodies delivered over 1100 homes across all tenures.  We are currently on site at Shanganagh, at of the largest social & affordable schemes in the County with 597 homes, which are being delivered in partnership with the LDA, with the first affordable purchase homes available at the end of 2024.  We are currently progressing approximately 1500 new build homes and a further 520 projected Part V homes over the next two years across the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area.
