COVID-19 Level 5 Plus restrictions are now in place.

 

Access to Council buildings is limited to urgent business and by appointment only.

 

Impacts on service levels and some delays will be unavoidable.

 
COVID-19 is spreading in our community at a rate not seen since the start of the pandemic. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council will be complying with the letter and spirit of government guidelines intended to provide a safe environment for staff and citizens in the county.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council would ask that all citizens comply with the new Level 5 Restrictions that are now in place all across the country. Stay home, stay safe, protect others in your community. You can view the detailed restrictions here.

Essential services will be maintained during Level 5 restrictions with a focus on priority, urgent and emergency works.


Building Access and Contact

Public access to County Hall will be limited to urgent business only due to current Level 5 restrictions. Access will be by appointment only

The Council Customer Service Hub can be contacted on 01 2054700 and info@dlrcoco.ie from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. You may experience slight delays due to restricted staff numbers.

Dundrum Area Office is closed.


Community Call Helpline

Community Call Helpline (1800 804 535) is open 7 days a week, 9am to 5pm, for those who are vulnerable or elderly who need information, assistance or even just a to talk to somebody on the end of the line.


Municipal Services

Outdoor services will continue, but with curtailed schedules, including:

  • All parks, playgrounds, bathing areas, carparks & cemeteries remain open
  • Cleansing & sweeping ongoing but operating on a reduced schedule
  • Water and drainage works continuing but operating on a reduced schedule
  • Road maintenance will continue but with a priority on urgent and emergency repairs
  • Winter gritting will be ongoing during cold weather events


Housing

Due the Level 5 Plus restrictions there is a significant impact on service provision, with some unavoidable delays possible.

All routine Housing Maintenance work is postponed for the duration of the restrictions but urgent and emergency works, as defined in tenant handbooks, will still be attended to. Service response times may be impacted. For housing maintenance queries, tenants can call 01 2054700 and email info@dlrcoco.ie

All Housing Allocations queries should be emailed to housingallocations@dlrcoco.ie and they will be responded to. Tenancy signings will be facilitated by appointment in advance.

Planning

The Planning offices can be contacted on 01 205 4871 and planning@dlrcoco.ie. Any meeting at County Hall must be arranged by appointment only in advance. It should be noted that, where possible, any appointment should be of an urgent, non-routine nature. Planning staff will assist with as many queries as possible via email and telephone to reduce face-to-face interaction in line with public health guidelines.

dlr Libraries

All branch Libraries, including the dlr LexIcon will be closed to the public, so all library services will be online only. There will be no Contact & Collect service operating, but the Book Drop Service to the elderly will continue.

dlr Leisure

dlr Leisure gyms in Loughlinstown, Monkstown, Meadowbrook, and Ballyogan are all closed due to Level 5 restrictions.

Community Centres

Some Community Centres have reopened. Due to Level 5 restrictions access will be facilitated for childcare and essential services only. More information on this shortly.
