Age Friendly Magazine 2020/21

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's Community Department has produced an Age Friendly Magazine for Winter 2020/21. The magazine has been developed, in conjunction with the Council’s partners in the County’s Age Friendly Alliance, as a source of information and entertainment for the County’s older population during the winter months.

The magazine contains local information and supports, health and wellbeing information, short stories, poetry, recipes, activities, and puzzles.

Launching the magazine, An Cathaoirleach Councillor Una Power said:

“I am delighted to be able to launch this magazine for our older citizens.  During these uncertain times, I hope that they will find it a useful source of information, creativity and fun. The collaboration between different agencies in producing the magazine is indicative of the sense of working together that has been apparent since the Covid-19 pandemic arrived, and is a sign of how well the key stakeholders in the County can continue to work together now and into the future.”

Hard copy versions of the magazine are available in your local pharmacy, church, or library.  They are also available on request from the Council’s Community Section on 01 205 4893 or community@dlrcoco.ie.
