dlr honours the contribution of Educators to the County

Yesterday evening Councillor Mary Hanafin, An Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council held a Civic Reception to recognise the significant role those in Education play in contributing to the success and achievements of the County.

The reception was attended by Frank Curran, Chief Executive DLRCC, local Councillors and Representatives, and teachers, administrators, and Board of Management members from schools of all levels across DLR.

Speaking at the event, Councillor Mary Hanafin, Cathaoirleach of DLR, said:

Our excellent educators at all levels make a significant contribution to our County, not just in the personal development of young people but also in creating communities, spreading the Irish language and culture, tackling climate change, and being involved in arts and sport.”

Frank Curran, Chief Executive of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said:

The Council works closely with educators across the County; multiple departments work to provide sporting facilities to be used by schools and the local clubs, DLR helps fund sports scholarships, our Environment team work to ensure the success of the Green Flag program, and we are partners on the economic development of our County.”
