Status yellow weather warning

A Status Yellow Weather Warning for Dublin has been issued by Met Éireann, effective from 12pm Friday 11th July until 6am Saturday 12th July

 

The Status Yellow warning for high temperatures has been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, and Tipperary.

Temperatures are expected to exceed  27°C combined with night-time temperatures in excess of 15°C. 

Potential Impacts:

  • Water safety issues due to increased use of lakes/beaches
  • Forest fires a possibility
  • Uncomfortable sleeping conditions
  • Heat stress
  • Difficult working conditions for outdoor staff
