The Heritage Council of Ireland

The Heritage Council is a public body established under the Heritage Act 1995 to promote a wide understanding of the vital contribution Ireland’s heritage makes to social, environmental, and economic well‑being. Its work spans advising government, supporting education, raising public awareness, and partnering with communities to safeguard and celebrate Ireland’s landscapes, archaeology, history, language, and cultural traditions.
