Can I still apply for a heating upgrade under the new guidelines?
Yes. You are welcome to apply for heating upgrades that do not include new gas or oil boilers. You may still apply to fix a fossil fuel boiler, e.g apply for a part to mend the boiler, or apply for a second hand gas or oil boiler to be installed by a registered contractor. Please contact the Private Grants Section on 01 205 4700 if you are unsure if the work you are applying for is covered under the new scheme.
Can I still submit a paper copy of a Commencement Notice?
No. Paper copies are no longer accepted. All forms must now be submitted electronically via the Building Control Management System (BCMS) website.

Can I still view the Draft Plan, Amendments to the Draft Plan and Chief Executive's Reports?
All plan documents and Chief Executive's Reports associared with each stage involved in the preparation of the County Development Plan 2022-2028 is set out above.
The Draft Plan can also still be viewed within the virtual room that was prepared for its consulation phase.
Can I still view the webinar recording?
The Draft Kiltiernan - Glenamuck Local Area Plan was on public display for a period of 6 weeks from 6th February 2025 - 21st March 2025 during this period an online webinar was held on Tuesday 18th February 2025.

Can I swim at the Dún Laoghaire Baths?
Yes, you can access the water safely on the lower deck of the facility directly to the sea or via the ladder from the jetty. Please remember that care and caution should always be taken when swimming in the sea.
Can I then appeal to the Commissioner for Environmental Information?
Following the completion of the internal review, you may seek an independent review of the decision from the Commissioner for Environmental Information. Appeals to the Commissioner must be made within one month of the internal review decision. You may also appeal to the Commissioner if the Council does not reply to your request for an internal review of the original decision within one month.

Can I use my central heating if the water is off?
If your central heating system has been installed by a registered contractor, it should be run from a separate expansion tank in the attic. This water should not be affected by a water main shutdown and it should be safe to run the system. However, you should check with your installer/plumber to confirm.
