The Chief Technician will be responsible for managing and delivering technical work programmes, including the preparation and production of drawings, maps, plans and associated documentation relating to Local Area Plans, County Development Plans, road and traffic schemes, and other planning, transportation, infrastructure and development projects.

The role involves the preparation and production of technical drawings, layouts, maps and plans associated with the design, implementation and maintenance of road and traffic management projects. These may include traffic management schemes, road improvement works, pedestrian and cycling facilities, junction and road layout alterations, parking and public realm projects, road safety measures and other transportation-related initiatives.
